I stupidly joined this site after a fight with my partner. I didn't even use it. They withdrew $234 for a subscription - i didn't realise they were going to. So I cancelled my subscription but 6 monthes later they have just withdrawn money for another subscription. I'm pregnant and dont need this money going missing right now.

Thanks for the advice. I have also tried for the past few weeks to cancel my membership. All I wanted was to try it out and then get rid of it if I wasn't keen, however I went around in circles to try to figure out how to cancel it. I even found it difficult to find a way to contact customer service for support. I am now at the point where I am blocked as I have apparently had my membership renewed for 6 months even though my profile has been deactivated since a week after joining. I took the advice of people above and cancelled my card rather than wait for this site to sort it out.

Whatever you do don't use this site. I used this site and managed to get my bank to retrieve the £149 they took from my account. I have reported them to ECC Trading Standards (as they are based in Luxemburg). If more people do this they will get stopped.

A total con. I joined on a month month trail and despite fulfilling all of the cancelation criteria my credit card was still debited for a further 6 months membership. I am presently seeking a refund via my credit card company but doubt that I will be successful

NO Star!!Fraud and scam!!! There is a way to GET THE MONEY BACK they have deducted from the account automatically after 6 month. I tried to cancel ONE day after joining but they still took another $234 out of my account 6 month later. I have been to the bank and provided them with my email cancellations they do not accept. I have reported them for refusing to accept cancellations. Keep all emails from them and pass them on to the bank. In Australia the banks recollected the $234 for me. Clearly they have to accept email cancellations as they did send me a: sorry you like to cancel with instructions of sending them a signed cancellation letter. There is no law that supports there insisting in a written letter to cancel as they responded to my cancellation the email. We did after all not have to sign when joining it.
YOU CAN GET YOUR MONEY BACK, JUST PERSIST AND PASS ON THE MESSAGE TO OTHERS, REPORT TO CONSUMER AFFAIRS PLEASE HELP TO STOP THEM FOR GOOD.
EFTPOS should not give them the service to use sooo complain to the banks too

Why have they not been stopped. Never heard of anyone been taken to court. Everyone MUST REPORT TO CONSUMER AGENCY. They are waiting for your call. number available through C.A.B. Good luck to us all

I too was caught up in the Be2 cancellation scam. I was reeled in by the £5 'trial' offer. I had a quick scan of the Terms and Condition which were written so cleverly that it disguised the renewal policy. After reading all of the reviews and complaints online I quickly learned that this site was a scam so I tried to cancel immediately. This is were the problems started. I clicked on the link to cancel my account however, it said that my account could not be deleted until the £5 had cleared from my account and that they had received the funds. Be2 were clearly holding this transaction as my bank said that there were no pending transactions on my account. I waited 3 days and still the transaction did not show on my account so I emailed Be2 customer services to tell them that I wanted to cancel. I then received an automated response with instructions on how to cancel online. The instructions are a total waste of time. They lead you round and round the website to what is eventually the page that tells you that you can not delete your account until the transaction had cleared. Furious with this I then emailed them again to explain that their instructions were rubbish and If they didn't cancel my account I would take legal action. I then received another email with more instructions to cancel 'online'. This led me to a page that said that in order to cancel I had to write or fax a cancellation request (which you have to download)to their head office in Belgium, even though the fax number is a UK number and the email address is .co.uk too. I I emailed a 3rd time stating that I did not have a fax machine nor did I have access to one. I also expressed my fury at them and a few other words that can't be typed on here. I said that they had 24 hours to take the £5 from my account or the card will be cancelled and they would have to take payment via another means. It got to the 24 hour point then I received an email again with more instructions leading me to yet the same page with the same problem that I could not cancel my account until the £5 was paid.
This was clearly getting me nowhere so I had to go hunt a fax machine and send the downloaded form to the given number. Within 24 hours I received an email that my premium membership will expire on -----(1 month from the joining date). There then appeared a link to delete my profile and close the account along with a quick survey as to why you want to leave. This is your opportunity to let rip and tell them what you think of their scam.
I cancelled my card anyway just in case they tried to take the £146 from my account.
I would advise anyone with the same problem as I have had to skip the emails and just go straight to the fax machine and cancel that way. They clearly try to send you round in circles so that you either give up trying or run out of time to cancel before the month trial has ended. Also be warned that they say you need to give 7 days notice before your trial membership date is up.
All in all a totally frustrating experience and one I never wish to have again. This was my first try at a dating site and It has put me off for life.
