All that is written here is very true. Anastasia is just interested in emptying out your wallet and nothing more! Their site is a big scam! I am surprised that nothing more has been done to shut them down. Their business model was more legitimate 10 years ago but not now! PLEASE do not do any business with this deceptive company. You will lose out in the end. I met men who participated on their tours and attended their socials and most men did not meet genuine women. I speak from experience. Make other arrangements and don't deal with Anastasiadate. Gentlemen Good Luck!

If anyone believes this site and the women are genuine, think again!After many months, answers on points of ethics regarding some of the women AND the pathetic staff supposed to deal with male customers of their site, I had to come to the conclusion that they are nothing more that liars and con artists. Months gago I was so p"""ed off at the attitude of this agency I withdrew my photos and cleared all my information. Invites continued, "I like your profile, your photo is very nice" ~ if it's genuine, how the hell can they see something which isn't there?
A month ago (November 2011) I changed the profile again, showing no photos, saying I was born in 1925, 4'7" tall, weighed 331 lbs, with the only profile comments being "Distrustful of organisations that lie to its members. Don't now believe Chat Invites are from actual ladies" ~ (I never engaged in these anyway, as the costs for letters, "virtual gifts" (cartoon pics of fruit, coffee, etc. costing more than a letter) and camera links are all financially prohibitive. Don't forget it's free for the women, so men pay this agency for both ways!)
Someone tell me how I can continue to get Chat Invites and webcam Invites from "ladies" declaring they like my photos, they are so interested in my profile, etc.
AnastasiaDate is a rip off, how the hell the US allows this company to continue operating is a mystery, and one can only presume someone, somewhere in the US governing body is getting a huge pay-off from the agency to turn a blind eye, knowing there are thousands of disgruntled men who have been ripped off daily.
Maybe if AnastasiaDate was connected with oil rights, action would be taken.

Guys, let me share with you my personal story. I hope you can learn from my mistakes and NOT repeat them yourself. Anastasia is NOT a great service for a number of reasons, but you can make it work to your advantage and here's how...

I speak fluent Russian, lived in Ukraine for a long time, and now live in Texas. I'm in my 30's, average looking with a stable job. Recently, I traveled to Odessa, Ukraine to meet several girls from Anastasia so I speak from personal experience here. Since I was able to speak the language fluently, I befriended girls fairly quickly and got to know them personally. I also learned from them more about the "inner workings" of the dating service of 'Anastasia.' I could NOT believe what I heard. They said girls get paid a percentage of money to write you letters, so it is in their best interest to keep you paying $$$ to open their initial letters and then pay more $$$ for you to reply to those ladies. Very few girls are actually interested in meeting you as most of them are either in school, or dating local guys, or even worse, married already but are working in Anastasia to make money on the side. Girls told me that sometimes one girl will write responses to as many as 5 different guys, or even worse another Ukrainian guy will pretend to be a girl when responding to you!! Yikes!

Guys, you gotta be realistic. Yes, the website lists gorgeous sexy girls. Why do you think that is? Because sex sells. We all want to believe that a hot, young, 22 year old girl will find us attractive, so we pour tons of money to chat with her (which is very costly $$$). It's a COMPLETE waste of your time and money!! If you are that intent on finding a hot, young wife in Ukraine, there is a better way. Pack up and go to Ukraine for a month. Seriously!! I mean, you can chat with Anastasia girls first for 1-2 weeks to see if there is mutual chemistry, select 3-5 girls (1-2 back-ups), then pack up and fly to Odessa for 2-3 weeks to meet them. Once you meet these girls, you'll see what I'm talking about. 99% of them are NOT interested in giving up whatever poor life they have in Ukraine to drop everything and go with you to live in the U.S. Like I said, I speak the language and understand local Ukrainian customs, and I actually went to Odessa to meet these ladies. My experiences varied drastically. Few of those girls decided to take me on the shopping spree on our first date or took me to expensive restaurants. Some of them brought their girlfriends with them so I could spend money on them both. WRONG!! I got rid of those girls immediately during that same night. I have zero tolerance for gold diggers like that. Trust me, real local girls will NEVER ask you for money because they are too proud to ask for it. So if a girl immediately starts to imply that you should buy her things or takes you shopping, RUN!!

But back to my point about using the service of Anastasia to your advantage. When you first create a profile, you will get TONS of introduction letters from ladies. The agency sends these letters to you automatically, whether the lady is interested in your or not. So, be VERY selective in which letter you open and reply, because it costs you $$$ to open a letter and more $$$ to reply. You can look at the girl's profile and pick a girl based on their profession or cute profile picture (whatever your criteria is). Notice there is no email or phone number listed in her profile. Wonder why is that? Well, as I found out, Anastasia goes to great lengths NOT to give you girl's contact info but to involve you in a very lengthy (AND VERY COSTLY $$$) chatting service with girls instead. The best thing to do is to have a game plan in mind. First, you need to make a list of 3-5 girls you want to meet, so chat with girls for a little bit to see if there is mutual chemistry first. The key though is NOT to chat ENDLESSLY as it will cost you a $$$ fortune!! Trust me, these girls will find innovative ways to empty your wallet quickly in chat by adding additional $$ services like video chat, so be careful and cancel video service immediately if she activates it during your chat!! Anyway, once you selected your girls after several chats, the next step is to call them (costs around $40 per 5 min). The idea here is get girl's real phone number, cutting middleman -Anastasia- in the process. Realize, you only have 5 minutes when you call (it costs more $$$ if you want to make it a 10-min call), so when you call your girl, quickly introduce yourself and explain you chatted with her online, and ask her for her home number. If she doesn't want to give it to you, forget her!! She is a pro-dater and not worth your time!! Anybody who says they need to continue USING ANASTASIA service is blatantly lying to you. They don't have to use it! In fact, most girls when I called, gave me their phone numbers immediately. You see, genuine girls who are SERIOUS about meeting you, since you ALREADY chatted with them online, will want to meet you and will give you their number. Once you have it, you can use Skype, or cheap international phone cards, to call her directly. My point is, please do NOT continue to use Anastasia's phone service to continuously talk to these girls as you'll lose TONS of $$$ money quickly. It goes without saying that you should pick a girl who speaks AT LEAST some English, because otherwise you're gonna have a hell of a time communicating with her, not to mention expensive $$$ translator fees. Once you chatted on Skype for a few weeks, or months, and got to know each other somewhat, it's time to pack up and fly to Odessa for 2-3 weeks. You'll be amazed how quickly you'll either re-confirm to yourself that girl is a great fit for you, or find out quickly that she is a gold digger. Be very selective and pay attention to what to intangibles like what the girl is doing. If she genuinely tries to save you money as she takes you around Odessa, or whatever town you are in, then she is a keeper.

Anyway, my main point is this: Anastasia knows that sex sells and will use it to their advantage to empty your wallet quickly. Most girls are NOT interested in leaving with you as this is just another way for them to make money in a poor economy in Ukraine. Keeping that in mind, and if you still want to proceed, use Anastasia to your advantage by keeping chat to a MINIMUM, call girls soon to get their OWN phone number, pick girls who speak SOME ENGLISH, and plan to meet them within a MONTH OR TWO to reconfirm if they are genuinely interested in you or not. If you are NOT serious about flying to Ukraine to meet these girls, then online chat will be a COMPLETE waste of MONEY and TIME for you!! Whatever you do, best of luck to you.

I am 35, 6'2", not bald, not fat, and a successfull doctor in Canada. I decided to give this a chance as my ex of 3 years had left me and I wanted to try something new. Boy, was I in for a shock!

After spending close to $1000 on the site, I connected with three women. I traveled to Ukraine to meet them.
The first had totally lied about her English ability. She had it put it to "advanced" on her profile. She knew not a single word in English. Without telling me, she brought an Anastasia interpreter who charged $20 per hour.
They insisted on meeting at only this one restaurant, which I did just to be nice. They then ordered the most expensive items on the menu, bringing the bill to $300. They suggested that I take them to another restaurant of their choice the next day (and to that I said no).

The next date turned out even worse. Even though she spoke good English, she brought her cousin to this restaurant of her choice. Without asking me and in Russian, they ordered 8 dishes of appetizers!!! and the most expensive wine and entres on the menu. I finally got so pissed that I got up and left. They then threatened to call the police on me and holding me hostage in the country. I threw $150 at them and got the heck out of there (total bill would have been north of 400 had I stayed).

The third date did not even show up.

Don't waste your money and stay home. date women in your own neck of the woods. That's my advice.
These women think of foreign men who go there as suckers. They don't care what you look like, or what you do. They just want to take you for a hell ride and leave you feeling so empty and used.
