This site is a scam. I agree with some of the ladies, it's so obvious that when someone says they have a doctorate that you should know how to spell. I don't trust anyone that contacts me. I'm going to cancel my subscription, it's a waste of time. OKcupid was better, at least I met a few men that I went on a date with, I have not gone on any dates on this site, hmmm I wonder why - these men don't exist.

Registered a few hours ago, and my account is already suspended. I wonder why. I'm not a Nigerian scammer. Just because I'm from Belgium? Belgium's in Europe, not Africa.

after two months? I have reported over ten(!) suspicious users and ALL OF THEM have had their account suspended. These men all have movie star photos, are very active in their church, are widowed - wife died of cancer, leaving one child... who is in another country (?) .... none of these guys are legitimate. They seem to come from the midwest mostly, but aren't in the country when they are communicating and all cannot construct a grammatically correct sensitive. What a waste of time and money.

Why all the widowers? to gain sympathy! There might be a few real people on there, but, after 10 days, I get contacted constantly by men all over the country (and the world!).I'm glad I only spent $25. I won't renew.

WOW. i wish i had read these reviews first. I am so naive. I have been contacted multiple times by same people. Most don't use correct English, most are widowers with one young child, with striking photos that look like ads - out of the country - at the moment - professing love and adoration way too soon - asking for personal e-mails. NOW I GET IT. They don't want me, they want the opportunity to ask for money. I have already reported two clear cases of impropriety. Sad. But at least I've learned.

This site is almost nothing but Nigerian scammers..widowed,only child whose parents meant the world to them, professing love almost immediately (whaaaaat?), and then quickly trying to establish if I was financially stable..asking for my home address..the big tip is their poor grammatical skills with the English language--but they will try to cover it up by saying they are half Irish, half German or half Italian,etc...one sob story after another. One was so stupid he actually tried to pretend he was from the same town I live in. Be careful with this site!!

Be very careful on this site. It is full of 419 scammers...those stuck in other countries needing money. I have been involved with one until the point of him asking for money, and have encountered at least 15 others. There are several warning signs that you can learn about by googling dating scams.
The biggest concern I have is that Spark.com's complaint process is terrible, and I do not think they take it seriously. I am very suspicious of this site.
